One small thing that’s working on other campuses

Hello Reader,

Happy New Year!

As we head into a new semester, I’ll be sharing a few very easy-to-use opportunities you can pass along to students—especially if you’re looking for simple ways to expand work-based learning without adding to your team’s workload.

Many of you know I’m working with Podium Education, and one part of that partnership I really like is their Early Talent Competitions.

These are short, virtual, employer-led case competitions that give students real-world experience in just a few days.

They’re free for institutions. Free for students, open to all majors, and designed to be incredibly easy for career centers to share. (yes, please!)

In 2025 alone, 800+ students from 70+ universities participated with top employers including L’Oreal, Lyft, Coinbase, Wells Fargo, and KeHE. They’re very popular with students, so make sure your students don’t miss out!

Over the next couple of months, I’ll give you a heads-up about upcoming competitions you can promote if you’d like. Companies including IDEO, Wells Fargo, Crocs, P&G, among others are on the docket this spring. No pressure to participate—just options!

Let’s start with this upcoming one with Wells Fargo. If you’d like your students to participate, let Lindsey Rosenbluth know so she can set up your institution in the registration system.

Then you can drop the feature below straight into a student newsletter (don't forget to add your registration link from Lindsey!). Again, no contract, no fees required to participate.

Wells Fargo Early Talent Competition (Jan 26–30)

Open to all majors. Free. No prior experience needed.

Work on a real business challenge with Wells Fargo, collaborate with students nationwide, and build experience you can talk about in interviews. 🏆 Prizes include exclusive 1:1 coaching sessions with Wells Fargo leaders 👀

Second years: this is a great opportunity to get on Wells Fargo’s radar for their Discovery Fellowship!

Register here -> [link to be provided once your institution is added to the participant list]

Students can access behind-the-scenes tips and get updates on upcoming Early Talent Competitions by following @globalcareeraccelerator on Instagram.

Hope your students love the experience!

PS. I'll be back to my regular newsletter antics soon! Meanwhile, wishing you a fantastic 2026.
